JEFFERSON CITY | A single-word amendment passed Tuesday in the Missouri House seeks to add a restriction on abortion to a bill combating doctor shopping and methamphetamine production.
Whether it can, however, is unclear.
The bill as presented would increase reporting requirements on sales of pseudoephedrine, the methamphetamine precursor found in some cold medicines, and also create a database of prescription drug sales. The database would record information about prescriptions as well as personal information about the patients receiving them in an effort to identify and prevent prescription drug abuse. Read more
